well i was thinking about what i wanted my first major project to be and came up with this. although there is a 4 door mk3 caddy in production on the vortex, i wanted to do one a bit differently. my plan is to buy a super cheap mk3 2 door gti or golf, chop the top half of the back off, cut that into two just behind the rear window through the c-pillar, and start welding it in place. the hatch would be cut in half, the bottom used to fill in the back of the "box", and the top to complete the "cab" of the caddy. i would then build sides in the box and throw down some bedliner. vr swap would be in order as well as a killer stance and some modernlines (played i know, but i can't get enough of 'em). unfortunately, i can't even begin this project until sometime in the new year as i'm trying to finish my degree and don't have the time to get this going. maybe i'll have to buy myself another mk3 for christmas this year!

thanks guys, i really wanna try to get this going asap, but as i said my current situation just won't let it happen. once the new year and spring rolls around i hope to be a lot closer to be able to get a jump on it.
